Bingo!

I got a letter from the utility company.

They're going to start paying for any excess electricity I generate with my photovoltaic panels.

Another wise decision on my part.

I had a larger than needed inverter installed so if sometime in the future, I could add more panels.

Now is the time.

I just have to find out if I need a permit to just add a few panels. They've stopped subsidizing the permits so they're now $560. (Coincidence? I think not.) But the initial installation is the biggest expense. If I can add a few panels for just the cost of the panels and installation, I'm so good to go.
