I bought a lottery ticket today. Five in fact. With repeats for this week and next week. So it's good today, Friday, and next week on Tuesday and Friday. One ticket with my numbers, four quick picks. $20.

The pot tonight is around $91 million dollars. I don't usually play, but for a pot that big, I do. I had to fill out a slip twice because I did it wrong the first time. There is a special running this month with the local indian casino for a second chance at a $5,000 drawing. I registered and put in my four numbers. I'll have more since as long as the pot hasn't been won, I'll be playing this same slip until the end of the month.

My chance of getting all five numbers and the meganumber is one in 175 million. That's doable. Or I should say I have the same chances of winning as anyone else. So why not me?

If I won, I think I'd retire the minute I got the first check.
