It's Hachiko Day.

Today is the day many dog owners make a pilgrimage to Tokyo's Shibuya station to honor Hachiko, the most loyal dog of Japan.




Like Greyfriar's Bobby and Shep, Hachiko waited faithfully for his master to return for over a decade. In honor of his loyalty a statue of him was erected outside the station. It is a popular meeting point.



Today is the day set aside to remember Hachiko, a most loyal dog.
